#ThinkTwiceThinkAbuse Child Exploitation Awareness Day
The 18th March marks Child Exploitation Awareness Day. In Newcastle, we would also highlight that exploitation can, and does, happen to adults. This year’s theme is asking people to think twice, to question what you think you know and what you see and hear. Many of you working for Newcastle City Council are out and about in our City, interacting with residents and are well placed to spot exploitation of children or adults. Sadly exploitation can happen to anyone, anywhere. If you have a concern that a child or adult is a victim of exploitation, please report your concern via safeguarding procedures.
