Rise is a health and wellbeing charity, passionate about the role physical activity can play in making a difference to communities. During Safeguarding Adults Week (18-22 November), they are offering a number of free workshops for sports clubs, organisations and parents/carers:
Tuesday 19th November 6-7pm – Alcohol and drug harm in young people and adults – awareness for sports clubs and organisations. We’re pleased to be joined by the team from Change, Grow, Live to raise awareness of spotting signs of drugs and alcohol harm and how to signpost young people and adults to local support services – book your FREE place here!
Thursday 21st November 7-8pm – Preventing radicalisation – safeguarding young people and adults for sports clubs and organisations. Led by Newcastle’s Prevent Co-ordinator, this session will cover preventing terrorism and the support available. Book your FREE place here!
Monday 25th November 7-8pm – Child exploitation for sports clubs and organisations by the Children’s Society and Ivison Trust – learn about child exploitation, how to spot the signs of this, and local support services available. Book your FREE place here!
