We had a great Safeguarding Adults Week in Newcastle, with so many people participating and promoting key messages. Whether you attended a webinar, shared content on social media, recorded a video or hosted a webinar, a big thank you to you from the Newcastle Safeguarding Adults Board.
The webinars received lots of positive feedback and interaction. Our hosts came from a variety of agencies: The Disclosure and Barring Service; Newcastle City Council; Search; The Department for Work and Pensions; The Illegal Money Lending Team England; Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust; Newcastle Gateshead CCG and Northumbria Police. A special thank you to them for taking the time to develop and deliver their webinars.
It was really well organised and really informative.
Newcastle City Council
Very informative and helped remind me to think of the wider picture re financial abuse and how many forms it can take.

We will continue to promote safeguarding adults messages throughout the year, ensuring that people know that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and that there is no excuse for adult abuse.
